Blast from the past: Big Time Rush - B.T.R., debut album

With their highly anticipated second album on the way, today we celebrate the one year anniversary of Big Time Rush's debut album B.T.R. Though I wasn't a fan of them at the time, I'm definitely a big time fan of this album now. Filled with pop, rock and R&B hits from their Nickelodeon show, Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan show off a lot of their vocal abilities, as well as Logan's awesome rapping!

B.T.R. sold 67,000 copies in it's first week, landing at #3 on the Billboard 200 and just recently went gold. Big Time Rush collaborated with singer Jordin Sparks and singer-actress Cymphonique Miller on the album. I know this day is of significance in the Rusher fandom, and is known as the day Big Time Rush went from "TV boy band" to artists.

Album Review: Jared Lee - Falling Through Holes (EP)

Singer-songwriter Jared Lee just released his first EP 'Falling Through Holes' and let me say, I was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought it would just be a good songwriter amateurishly taking on the role of a singer, but I'm happy to admit that I was dead wrong. This six-song EP showcases Jared's endearing voice in these R&B groove songs. Reminding me of a OneRepublic or Maroon 5 vibe, Jared's music is authentic and so full of emotion. These songs take you on ups and downs and Jared's voice soothes and soars through all of them. With inspiring lyrics, catchy beats and his alluring voice, this EP will captivate you and leave you wanting more. In sum, I am so happy I stumbled upon Jared Lee and his new EP. I feel very enlightened by his new music and am definitely looking forward to hearing more from him.

Big Time Rush premieres new song "Superstar"!

BTR's new song "Superstar" was featured on the new Big Time Rush episode "Big Time Strike". This clever and catchy song was written by Jared Cotter, Kamaljit Jhooti, Robert Larow, Khaled Rohaim and David Skaller, as well as Kendall, James, Logan and Carlos! The new song will appear on their much anticipated second album, out November 21st.

Double Album Review: Scotty McCreery - Clear As Day & Lauren Alaina - Wildflower

Get both this year's American Idol winner and runner-up's album reviews in one spot! Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina both released their debut albums within a week of each other, and both proved that they have huge potential as country music stars.

Scotty released Clear As Day on October 4th, and in my opinion, that boy has the voice of a 50 year old, and I mean that in the best way. His deep, southern voice fits these songs perfectly and shows every ounce of country, as well as maturity, he has in him. The just-turned 18 year-old proves why he won American Idol as he belts out these young love songs and tells a story in each one. "Water Tower Town,", the song that sheds light on small town life and the title track "Clear As Day", the cute love song that ends sadly when Scotty sings, "Last thing you said is I’ll call you tomorrow, But that’s a call you never got to make, They blamed it on the fog and pouring rain, That night’s still clear as day", are only two example of the genius and simplicity of these story-teller songs, and Scotty's soulful voice only adds to these touching tunes.

Lauren Alaina releases her debut album Wildflower on October 11th, and I think Lauren is following in the successful footsteps of fellow 'Idol' Carrie Underwood. These pop country songs are perfect for Lauren's youthful audience and playful vibe, being nearly 17 herself. "Eighteen Inches", "Georgia Peaches" and the over five minute-long "The Locket" are only examples of the creativity on this album, and Lauren's voice shines through in all of them. In sum, there's not a bad song on this album and whether you watched Lauren on American Idol or not, if you're a fan of country music, you'll be a fan of this album after listening to it.

David Cook kicks off his fall tour! New song cover and a slight wardrobe malfunction!

Last night David Cook kicked off his fall tour with Gavin DeGraw in Penn State! Cook performed some old songs and new songs off of his latest album This Loud Morning, as well as a new cover of Billy Joel's "Moving Out"!

Cook also had a slight wardrobe malfunction when his leather pants ripped all the way up his leg! Cook was able to cover the rip with his guitar, saying, "“It’s the first show and my pants rip up to my butt.. All I can think about right now is ‘Dicklaration.'”, joking about his song "Declaration". Cook was able to fix up his pants with duct tape, stating, "Duct tape fixes everything!” LOL! Video below:

Big Time Rush 2nd album deets!

Hey Rushers! With all the rumors going around about the highly-anticipated second album from Big Time Rush, I thought I'd give you guys the facts! With their first album already just going gold, how exciting is it hearing about their second album??

• At their show in Fresno tonight, BTR announced that their second album would be released on November 21st!

• Though this hasn't been confirmed from the guys themselves, in an interview with Popstar! Magazine, Kendall said that their new album would be call Elevate and that they're going to "elevate their music." 

• And lastly, despite the many "track lists" that are out there, the only certain songs that will be on this album are BTR's single "If I Ruled The World", their new song "Paralyzed" and the song featured in the new Big Time Rush episode, airing Monday, "Superstar", which was co-written by the guys!
