Demi Lovato pens first country song
Demi Lovato may be known for her pop rock music, but per recent tweets, she may have another genre up her sleeve. After tweeting that she was listening to "The Good Stuff" by Kenny Chesney, the singer says, "Wrote my first country song today." Though Demi is closer to country music than she seems, being a Texas native, as well as her mother who had a career in country music.
What would you think of a country song from Demi?

Song Review: Rascal Flatts ft. Natasha Bedingfield - Easy
So, I've just been introduced to this song... where have I been? I usually know about new Rascal Flatts music, but better late than never right? "Easy" is a duet between country group Rascal Flatts and pop singer Natasha Bedingfield, and is one that will have you hooked with it's fascinating concept and charming voices of Gary and Natasha. This country ballad starts out with Gary who's pretending to be over his ex, even though it isn't easy. As the second verse starts, Natasha admits that she too isn't over him. But what he/she don't know is hard it is to make it look so easy, that little spin in lyrics will hit you and make the song all the more intriguing. Simple, touching and enjoyable, and I wouldn't expect anything more or less from these singers.
Rascal Flatts and Natasha also performed the song on this year's CMA Awards. Check out the video below:

Song Review: Lady GaGa - You And I
I may be a little late to the party, but I just heard this song for the first time today, and I have to say, I loved it from the first few seconds I heard of it.
Is it a little bit country, or a little bit rock 'n roll? Well, this song seems to be a little bit of both! Unlike her dance-floor, electronic pop songs we're all used to, "You And I" brings a new sound to Lady GaGa's music and voice. This retro ballad is refreshing compared to most of her other singles, and her voice holds a certain realness in it as she sings out in a husky, yet strong way that fits this song perfectly.
This song has a catchy and feel good beat with lyrics that tell a story and show off a less "monstrous" side of Lady GaGa. As intrigued as I am by the outrageous side of her, I'd love to see this side of her more often.
