Song Review: Syesha Mercado - Christmas Melody

Oh, how I've missed that beautiful voice! American Idol Season 7 star Syesha Mercado is back with a gorgeous Christmas melody! The new song "Christmas Melody" is a captivating yet elegant holiday ballad about the memories of a past love staying in your head like the joyful tunes of the season. Syesha's voice soars in its many ranges as she sings this beautiful new song.

This happens to be the first original song to be released by Syesha since American Idol, and it definitely does not disappoint. Syesha has always been a forced to be reckoned with, and this song is just another example.

David Cook and David Archuleta perform at Ronald McDonald House charity event!

The Davids of AI7 reunited last night, and also with Constantine Maroulis, at the Ronald McDonald House in New York for the Make A Difference charity event for children battling cancer. Taking a night off from Cook's fall tour and Archie's rehearsal or his upcoming Christmas tour, the Davids performed songs and met with the children. David Archuleta performed "Crush," "A Thousand Miles," and "Angels" while David Cook performed "Come Back To Me," "The Last Goodbye," "Hero," "Light On," and his newest single "Fade Into Me," even after saying that David A. was so good, he quits! David A. also tweeted this cute pic of him with, well who else than Ronald McDonald! LOL!

Watch these videos of Archie performing "Angels" and "Crush: and Cook performing "The Last Goodbye" and a great, acoustic version of "Hero" from the event!

Song Review: Josiah Leming - Too Young

Josiah Leming of American Idol Season 7 has released a new song, "Too Young", about how young people are, well, too young. Too young to understand and too young to care. I agree and disagree with this song, as I think it all depends on the kind of person you are. While not all young people are "too young to give a $#*!", the majority seems to be, which is obviously what Josiah is explaining here. Too young to care for it, too young to take it to heart, those lyrics carry so much meaning and truth as Josiah sings about the way most young people think. While some of the lyrics get a little explicit, I think it adds to the youthful charm of the song, and Josiah sings this Indie pop ballad with a strong but sincere voice. I know it's been over three years, but doesn't this song prove he should've made it past Hollywood Week on Idol? Come on?
