Album Review: Big Time Rush - Big Time Movie soundtrack

With the premiere of Big Time Movie just 4 days away, Big Time Rush has released a new 6-song soundtrack! Nickelodeon's fab four takes on the original fab four as they cover classic Beatles hits on this new album.

Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan introduced their fans to the idea last summer when they performed a cover of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" while on tour, which is one of the featured hits. The guys also perform the Beatles' classics "A Hard Days Night" and "We Can Work it Out," giving it their own BTR touch. They as well do justice to songs like "Can't Buy Me Love" and "Revolution." But the highlight of the album for me would have to be the guys' cover of the famous "Help!" They keep the song simple and close to the original, just like the song should be.

Really, who better to cover Beatles songs than Big Time Rush? A lot like The Beatles, they're four very talented and musical guys, who can definitely pull off these covers. You can catch these songs in their new Big Time Movie, premiering on Nickelodeon on March 10.

Big Time Movie to premiere on March 10

As Big Time Rush prepares for their upcoming Better With U tour with One Direction, Nickelodeon has just announced that their new Big Time Movie will be premiering on Saturday, March 10! Kendall, James Carlos and Logan will go from international superstars to spies in this action-packed, music filled new movie. You can read the plot below:

In Big Time Movie, the guys must tap their inner spy as their adventure finds them driving exotic cars and jumping out of helicopters, while trying to make it to their first world tour concert on time. Hot on their trail are evil henchmen named Maxwell, British secret agents and Swedish spies as well as billionaire businessman, Sir Atticus Moon who wants back his precious device code named: “The Beetle,” an anti-gravitational device with enormous power. Once they learn they’re carrying this precious cargo, the guys get pulled into a madcap mission throughout London, which threatens the onset of their world tour. With the help of teen spy Penny Lane, the guys set out to save Penny’s father M16 Agent Simon Lane and stop Sir Atticus Moon’s plot to use “The Beetle” to gain world domination.
Nickelodeon's fab four will also be channeling the original fab four in the flick, performing the Beatles' hits "We Can Work It Out," "A Hard Day's Night," "Help!" and "Revolution." The movie will also feature songs off of BTR's new album Elevate.
